They speak of Shiva or Jehovah, Allah or Krishna

They speak of Kali or Durga, the Mother Goddess,

The One Absolute existence is called by many names;

Let's know the prime Message of Ancient Vedas!

One is the brilliant fire

Kindled in many a place;

One is the Sun shining over all

One is the Dawn illumining the world

The Brahman, which is formless, has become this all.

There's neither non-reality nor reality at the beginning

There was neither ether nor sky, which is beyond it

When there was neither of night nor of day any sign

The One breathed, airless, by self-impulse

Apart from it there was nothing what so ever.

That is the Ancient One, beginning less and endless

The ancient universe submerged in Him

Emerged out of His Will!

That One is the Creator and the Lord

That One is the created and the creation

That One is the Supreme light; Sun and Stars His eyes

He is the eternal time and He is the Mother of the World

There is no parallel to Him whose glory, verily is great.

One is the Lord of the moving and the steady,

Of what walks and what flies- this multiform creation.

That one who knows this God simply as One

He oversees all- what breathes and what breathes not

To Him goes the conquering power.

In God all deities become one alone.

God is that in which things converge.

He is that from which things diverge.

He is of our own land and of foreign land.

He is divine and He is humane.

He is the Lord of heaven and earth;

He lies even in a small drop of water.

He is smaller than the smallest, greater than the greatest.

That God, the King beholds, what lies between heaven

And the earth, and what is beyond the heaven;

He that counts the twinkling of men's eyelids, and

Lays down statutes, may look at us with merciful glances!

May He send us paramount bliss, and

May He grant us long life !
